Taj Garden Retreat Review
This hilltop hotel in a verdant, 62-acre setting has sweeping and distracting views of Madurai 6 km (4 mi) away. The rooms in the period bungalows retain a British-colonial appeal, with vintage etchings on the walls, wood everywhere, and airy verandas with beautiful views (the furnishing are a little dated but remain pleasant). Other rooms are modern, villa-style. The Taj Garden's restaurants include an outdoor barbecue.
