One of the most popular restaurants in the backpacker part of town, this is the perfect place to soak in the laid-back Mahabalipuram mood. Dinner here is more comfortable than lunch (there's no air-conditioning) and is cooked to suit Western tastes. However, a request for "Indian-style" food usually yields good results as well. In addition to standard Indian and Western, the restaurant also serves solid seafood and European-style food at remarkably low prices—try the garlic prawns in butter sauce or the fried calamari.
