This worldwide chain of Indian vegetarian restaurants provides snappy service as well as a long menu of solid dishes. Some branches include buffets, but most have table service (although the bill is usually paid at a counter near the entrance). This is a good place to try South Indian filter coffee as well as such classic South Indian items as dosas, idlys, and vada (savory, spicy doughnuts usually made from lentil flour).
