Gangaikondacholapuram Review
This capital city of the Cholas 75 km (47 mi) northeast of Thanjavur has a magnificent temple built by Rajendra I in the 11th century. Only the main portion of the original three parts of the temple remains—this temple is called the Brihadisvara, like the one in Thanjavur, but is no longer in use.
