Fodor's Review

October through June, hire a jeep and driver to take you to Panna National Park to see wildlife that includes antelope, deer, and a lot of monkeys; if you're lucky (and arrive very early in the morning or in late afternoon and hire a guide at the park or come with Ken River Lodge), you'll see one of the 27 elusive tigers in the Panna Tiger Reserve. The best viewing season is January through March. (Sightings are said to be better at Bandhavgarh Park, but that's a five-hour, 237-km [147-mile] drive from Khajuraho). For Rs. 6,500 you can hire a six-seat jeep for a four-hour safari with a guide.
