The fashionable crowd clamors to get into this cousin of Mumbai's acclaimed Saltwater Grill, where the food is delicious and the drinks are desirable. Order anything with "smoke" in the name—from smoke-house chicken (two perfectly cooked smoked chicken breasts served with impeccably seasoned green beans and roasted potatoes) to smoked apple and rosemary pie. The smoked melon martini defies words, and the smoked apple mojito is even better. Unlike most see-and-be-seen places, service is unpretentious and friendly. The contemporary comic-book panels on blood-red walls and gleaming chrome staircase feels industrial—odd, but it works. Reservations are advised.
