One of the better attempts at upscale cuisine in Jodhpur, the restaurant is a part of Taj group's Hari Mahal hotel. The neo-Mughal-style restaurant serves continental and Indian food, with a few Rajasthani specialties, and there is a buffet (evenings) as well as à la carte options. Try Jodhpuri gatte ki subz curry (steamed chickpea flour dumplings in yogurt-base gravy); the spicy Jodhpuri laal maas (lamb) curry is also typical of this region. Pasta dishes are a nice break from the usual Indian fare: the penne arrabiata is particularly good as is the spinach lasagne. They offer both north Indian and Rajasthani thalis for Rs 700. For dessert, the mud pie and the bull's eye is recommended. On most nights live Indian classical music is performed.
