Fodor's Review:
Tucked away in a corner of the Pink City, this lemon-yellow haveli is now a Heritage Hotel. Built for a prime minister of the royal court in the mid-19th century, and arranged around two courtyards, the haveli still has an air of stately grace and some original frescoes. Rooms are spacious and simply furnished. For opulence, stay in one of the two Sheesh Mahals, the luxurious quarters of the local Rajput himself (the rooms are still moderate in price), which have antique furniture, walls, and pillars inlaid with mirror work. Low arches and mazelike corridors add to its Rajasthani style. The best views are of the elegant palace gardens. The hotel can arrange camel and elephant rides. The haveli also runs the Samode Bagh luxury-tent encampment and Samode Palace, a heritage resort, 45 km (28 mi) northwest from Jaipur. You can reserve for both through the Jaipur haveli.
