¢, Jodhpur
Fodor's Review:
The old city has only one or two places to stay -- despite the fact that it's clearly best to lodge in Jodhpur, with easy access to its important sites. The rooftop restaurant, which serves vegetarian food, has excellent views of the city, and you'll be close enough to hear evening arthi (a Hindu prayer service) at the temples near the clocktower. The rooms are basic and unpretentious, and lack phones and bathtubs -- but what the hotel lacks in facilities it more than makes up for in convenience by being so close to the sights.
