Air Travel in Rajasthan and Gujarat

There are domestic airports in Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. Although there's an airport in Jaisalmer, civilian flights no longer operate for security reasons. Indian Airlines flies among the three and connects Rajasthan with Delhi, Bombay, and Aurangabad. Ask your travel agent about service on private airlines and remember that flights to and within Rajasthan fill up—reserve well in advance. The Udaipur-Jodhpur sector is particularly difficult as there's no rail connection between the two cities. Private carriers such as Jet Airways and Kinfisher offer some connections in Rajasthan, including daily flights from Delhi to Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur.

Air India, Air France, Air Alitalia, British Airways, KLM, and Lufthansa have offices in Jaipur.

Several airlines fly to Ahmedabad from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai daily, and often twice a day. You can also fly to Vadodara from Mumbai or Delhi. Four flights a week connect Mumbai with Bhavnagar, and five flights a week leave Mumbai for Diu. There are also daily flights to Rajkot, and both this and Diu are well located for accessing Sasan Gir.
