Stay in this affordably priced Heritage Hotel without compromising on modern comforts. Overall, the somewhat anonymous rooms are spacious, and many overlook a central courtyard with a fountain where outdoor buffet meals are served during peak season. The rooftop restaurant has views of Umaid Bhawan Palace and the fort, and the loungey trophy bar is a good place to smoke a fruit-flavored hookah or enjoy a drink. Pros: close to boutique shops down the street; spacious, newly renovated rooms. Cons: not near the old city, lobby feels a little institutional, some rooms are charming but a little run down.
