The open-air restaurant at this converted haveli on Lal Ghat has retained the mansion's lovely design, and has spectacular views of the Lake Palace. The vista, especially at night, captures the almost unbearably romantic essence of the city. To watch the brilliantly illuminated Lake Palace float like a mythological castle on the water from a bolstered and cushioned alcove is a signature Udaipur experience. Here you'll get a decent range of Continental and Indian food. The haveli is at the tail end of one of Lal Ghat's labyrinthine lanes, but getting there is easy—everybody knows where it is.
