Come hungry to this village complex, where you'll sit on the floor in a lantern-lit hut and enjoy Rajasthani vegetarian dishes Indian-style (with your hands, no silverware). Be prepared to consume a large quantity of shuddh desi ghee (pure clarified butter) as it's poured on practically every dish. Around the compound, you'll see traditional dances, including the dramatic fire dance, folk singing, katputli (puppet shows), and juggling. A mehendi-wali may offer to apply intricate designs on your palms while a persistent wallah urges you to keep yourself warm with a traditional rabdi, a spicy, sweet, milk-based drink, served hot. Entertainment is included in the cost of the meal, and tipping is discouraged. The temples here are real. If you're here at sunset, you'll see the traditional village aarti (prayer ceremony). Camel rides are also available.
