Fodor's Review:

Laid out like a white crescent moon around a large pool, this was once a royal guesthouse. The regal suites are gorgeous, with molded ceilings, elaborate canopied beds, and original paintings and furniture. The Paneera Bar is styled with Victorian furnishings. Dine poolside for a romantic experience. Some of the rooms have private terraces; all have excellent views of Lake Pichola. Pros: doesn't get more central than this (you're within walking distance of the lake, old city, City Palace Museum, and shopping). Cons: fairly expensive, the standard rooms are set apart from the main building and have contemporary furnishings.
