This gorgeous, cheerful yellow haveli—one of the most popular Heritage Hotels in the state—is close to the Pink City, but its large lawn distances you from urban noise, and there are numerous courtyards and alcoves to chill in. Built in 1892 as the city residence of Shekhawati Rajputs, the bungalow has elegant rooms with carved antique furniture, restored frescoes, bedspreads with traditional Rajasthani prints, rug-covered tile floors, and brass-frame bathroom mirrors. In the public areas are crystal chandeliers, hunting trophies, and various weapons. Pros: reasonably priced, jeep and camel safaris can take you to a nearby village and fort for an extra price. Cons: some rooms are dark, and the lighting is depressing.
