If you don't have time to visit a small village, here's your chance to get a feel for Rajasthani folk culture. Like the state's half-dozen simulated villages, Apno Gaon offers camel rides, playground swings, traditional music, and puppet shows. The food is so good even locals feast here. You'll get farm-fresh, organically grown vegetables, and bhajra (corn) delicacies and milk products. Be prepared to sit on the ground and eat with your hands. Apno Gaon is open from 11 AM to 11 PM, but is better at night. The street signs are in Hindi, so ask your driver for directions.
