With a stunning location on the Lake Pichola at Lal Ghat, a whitewashed interior, and simple but elegant furnishings, this converted 17th-century haveli is one of the best medium-budget places in the city. The charming restaurant has romantic open-air alcoves overlooking the lake and a stunning view of the Lake Palace Hotel. Twelve of the rooms have lake views; some suites have window seats directly overlooking the lake. Pros: unsurpassed views of the lake and the Aravalli hills, one of the best values in town, short walk from nearby shopping and restaurants. Cons: no pool.
