Besides once being the summer residence of the Maharaja of Bikaner, this was for decades also the center of Mount Abu's aristocratic social life. Built in 1893 and now a Heritage Hotel, it still feels something like a hunting lodge, and is a good place to retreat and relax for a few days.

Slightly faded grandeur of a marvellous house quietly set in extensive grounds. Huge suite, excellent service (if a bit slow). Food good.
