Cradled in the Aravalli hills, this late-19th-century club is where British officers and royalty from Gujarat and Rajputana came to escape the summer heat, and now it combines modern amenities with country style. The main building is a rambling old bungalow with a tiled roof; the hotel itself has 18 acres of gardens, with waterfalls and an artifical lake. Pros: rooms belonging to the old club property are old-world. Cons: new blocks have modern rooms with nondescript furnishings.
