This mid-level sandstone complex has an austere interior. Frescoes decorate some of the walls, many of which are otherwise whitewashed. Standard rooms are spacious and furnished with Western amenities—but include Rajasthani bed frames. There are occasional pleasant surprises, such as a traditional puppet hanging on the bathroom wall. Definitely get a room with a balcony and a fort view, and take a dip in the pool—it's the largest in Jaisalmer. Pros: basic, decent rooms; good views. Cons: not luxurious.
