If you stay at this guest house, you forgo the facilities of a larger hotel for the comfort of a home away from home. Built during colonial times, the residence retains the traditional haveli shape of a mansion built around a courtyard. It also has a private pool in the courtyard. The Western-style rooms have marble floors, two sinks, and bathtubs. The Rajput family who runs it are happy to give tourist advice about Jaipur, and do their best to cater to the needs of foreigners. Pros: homey atmosphere; friendly staff, clean rooms. Cons: far from the action (need to take a rickshaw or taxi to get to the old city), swimming pool is small.
