At this public park (really a wildlife sanctuary) you can enjoy the view of the park's 12th-century artificial lake and the royal family's beautiful 19th-century summer palace, now a hotel. The lake is surrounded by a thick jungle of fruit trees called badis. It's the perfect place for a tranquil stroll—just beware the monkeys, who are always on the watch for opportunities to cause trouble and to score good vegetable pakoras, or fritters. Don't try to pluck the fruit from the trees, as the monkeys will fight you for it.
