This small but enchanting palace and village complex has a garage full of royal vintage cars (they're available for hire). Not one of the big rooms is alike: each is decorated with traditional Rajasthani fabrics and artifacts, and some even have trees growing inside. The hotel's centerpiece, the pool has built-in waterfalls and caves. There is one all-day dining restaurant; in peak season nightly outdoor dinners feature live entertainment. Horse-riding, village, and camel safaris can be arranged. Pros: warm and inviting—the bar is especially cozy, the gravel paths and tiny lanes connecting the rooms give the hotel a spacious outdoor vibe, the rooms are big. Cons: not close to the old city, some of the rooms may smell a bit earthy from mud walls.
