This small palace sits above its own ghat—private stairs leading down to the lake—with fabulous, panoramic views of Pushkar. Built by the Maharaja of Jaisalmer in the 15th century, the Pushkar Palace was later presented to the Maharaja of Kishangarh. All the rooms are outfitted with antique furniture from Rajputana's heyday. Horse, camel, and jeep safaris are available. Pros: great views, private, restaurant is on a terrace overlooking the lake and is one of the best in Pushkar. Cons: room rates skyrocket during the Pushkar festival, no pool.
