Nagaur

Try to visit Nagaur during its colorful cattle fair, in late January or early February. Make sure you check out the remnants of beautiful frescoes on the fort's crumbling walls. The complex has an amazing engineering system, which supplied enough water for the fountains and royal baths. The system also functions as a kind of air-conditioning in this otherwise arid land. Nagaur and its surrounding area are famous for making clay toys.
