Fodor's Review:

This two-story 1919 bungalow, now a Heritage Hotel, is on the outskirts of the old city. There's a small Royal Museum with weapons from the 17th century. Guest rooms in the old wing have original furniture, cotton dhurries (rugs), and murals; those in the new wing are furnished with four-poster beds, divans, and pieces from the armory. Rooms aren't fancy, but are neat and clean, and have ethnic touches. The family also has a beautiful retreat (visited by British royalty) 27 km (19 mi) outside town, from where you can take a camel ride through the surrounding villages. The retreat charges the same price as the palace.
