Cradled in the Aravalli hills, this late-19th-century club -- where British officers and royalty from Gujarat and Rajputana came to escape the summer heat -- combines modern amenities with country style. The main building is a rambling old bungalow with a tiled roof; the hotel itself has 18 acres of gardens, with waterfalls and an artifical lake. Rooms belonging to the old club property are old-world; the new blocks have modern rooms with nondescript furnishings. Room rates are higher on weekends.
