Mayfair Lagoon Review

In place of the nearby Trident's tranquility, this excellent resort offers lots of options for food and entertainment, plus a lovely jungle-landscaped man-made lagoon. Quirky, slightly over-the-top touches—planes parked in the garden, giant raths (chariots) running past the entrance, statues of tigers sitting at the lagoon, an in-house temple—give this enormous property a certain charm. Peace reigns, however, in the quiet, spacious, tastefully decorated and rather plush guest rooms, each with a private balcony. The best rooms overlook the lagoon, and from the "deluxe cottages" (suites) and the elegant two-bedroom villas you can lean over the rail and feed the ducks. The spa offers a full roster of services, and the gym has a wall of windows overlooking the gardens and beautiful pool.
