An unexceptional boxy exterior and a conventional and small lobby disguise some excellent, spacious, ultramodern rooms. Brown wall paneling, a profusion of geometric shapes, sparkling white tile floors, and wall televisions contribute to an air of cool sleekness in the guest rooms. Bathrooms have triangular sinks, square taps, and lots of shiny chrome and glass. Deluxe rooms have marble floors and king beds. The strongest point of this popular hotel is its rooms; public areas are less attractive and definitely short on class. There are also a great mosaic-tile pool, a pavilion with restaurants, a coffee bar, and a sweets shop. New Marrion has an interesting South Indian and Chinese restaurant attached.
