Nandankanan Zoological Park

Nandankanan Zoological Park Review

Twenty kilometers (12 mi) north of Bhubaneswar and reachable by taxi, bus, or Orissa Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) tour is this park carved out of Chandaka Forest. A lion safari leaves every 15 minutes on an open-air bus (but it won't go unless there are enough people; check in every hour). Other inhabitants of this semi-wild zoo and amusement park include leopards, striped hyenas, herons, and storks, crocodiles, rhinos, antelopes, bears, jaguars, and zebras. A tram crosses a lake to the Botanical Garden. You can also enjoy paddleboating, a toy train, and elephant rides here.
