ATMs

ATM machines are widespread. You're likely to find an ATM machine a few steps from your hotel, especially if you're staying anywhere in South Mumbai. Any HDFC or ICICI ATM will let you withdraw cash with a Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or Cirrus card. HDFC ATMs provide cash with an American Express card, too. If you're having difficulty locating an ATM ask anyone to direct you to the nearest HDFC or ICICI bank.

Currency Exchange

Most luxury hotels will change money (albeit at poor rates) if you're a guest. American Express is open Monday-Saturday 9:30-6:30. Thomas Cook is open Monday-Saturday 9:30-6:30 and Saturday 9:30-6. The State Bank of India is open weekdays 10:30-4:30, as are most other banks.
