The transport department of the India Tourism Development Corporation and the MTDC can organize, quite painlessly, bus tickets on reliable coaches to a variety of destinations, including Nasik, Aurangabad, and Pune, nearby. The Maharasthra State Road Transportation Corporation's Asiad (the best service) Raj National Express Volvo (can be booked online) and Metrolink Volvo buses, which depart from the Asiad bus stand, at the circle outside Dadar Train Terminus (better known as Dadar TT) in central Mumbai, offer the best service between Mumbai and Pune. Non-Volvo luxury coaches depart every 15 minutes (Volvo buses are usually by the hour); tickets can be purchased on the spot and you can hop right on.
