Kailas Review

If you're not the typical tourist and you don't intend to use Aurangabad as a base for day trips to Ellora and Ajanta, try this serene little hotel with a garden, a stone's throw from the Ellora caves. Its very clean, double-bed stone cottages are spartan, not uncomfortable, and have a rustic appeal. One huge bonus of staying here is that on days when the caves are open, you can visit them at 6 am, experiencing them in the dawn light without the crowds. The hotel can organize transport to the city, and has a restaurant attached with a plentiful menu. Non-a/c rooms here are just Rs. 900.
