Glowing expanses of marble, shiny fittings, elegant furnishings, and no fewer than seven restaurants make this very large, Mumbai-class lodging a luxurious option. The large rooms are plush, but they are a bit uninspired in contrast to the exterior and lobby areas—they run to busy upholstery with red highlights, soft carpeting, and tile walls. By the windows are wrought-iron tables. Rooms have unexciting views of the railway station across the street. Pros: very plush, Pune's top hotel, airport pick-up, squash facilities. Cons: expensive, lacks view, not quite up to international standards.
