Mumbai has very few restaurants bang on the beach, but this is one of them. At what's one of the most romantic dining spots in the city, the decor runs to white twinkling lights, hammocks, white sand, palm trees, and the ocean. The food is equally stylish—try the grilled kingfish or pomfret, deep-fried Brie, and the pastas. You can dine on low wood tables on the sand or in white tented curtained alcoves slightly away from the water; there is adequate cover for rain. The selection of cocktails—lemongrass vodka, green-apple martinis, plum vodka, watermelon caipiroskas(a fruit-flavored drink with a vodka and lemon base)—and wines is also a good draw.
