Mainland China
Mainland China Review
At this branch of Mumbai's famous restaurant the dining room is bright and airy, the furniture wood, the floor marble, and the walls decorated with China-theme murals and wood-carved grilles. The restaurant has an attractive garden where you can dine. The lightly cooked, mildly spiced courses are full of flavor, and portions are large. Ask to have it spicy, with more chillies. Menu standouts include rice with woodear mushrooms and greens, sweet-and-spicy crispy chicken, chicken in sapo sauce, bean-curd dim sums, prawns in butter and garlic, seafood with crabmeat sauce, crackling spinach, steamed chicken with Chinese greens, and burnt-garlic fried rice. End your meal with daarsaan, crispy fried noodles with honey.
