West End Review

More than half a century old, this simple, reliable place is especially popular with foreigners looking for a good deal. The very clean rooms—some more spacious than others—have private balconies, bathtubs, deep-blue carpets and outdated furniture; opt for one facing the street in front. The restaurant, the lobby, and even the bellboys still have a 1940s look. The old-style bar is charming, and the popular Gujarati thali restaurant Panchvati Gaurav is two minutes away. The building is near Bombay Hospital; you'll see doctors and visitors around until late at night. Around the corner is the Metro Cinema complex, where another outlet of Rajdhani, another Gujarati thali restaurant, is located.
