If you're in the mood for Continental cuisine—or a good steak—pay a visit to this elegant Victorian restaurant, decorated with mirrors, chandeliers, and rich, striped furnishings. The best steak, "à la Fernandes," is named after a former maître d'. Richly seasoned with cinnamon, spices, and cream, it's cooked and flambéed at your table. The chicken Diane, prawn Diane, regular steaks, cannelloni, and lasagna are very good, and the crêpes Suzette delectable. Excellent Indian dishes are also served; try the biryani. A pianist plays old favorites daily except Wednesday.
