Train Travel

Several excellent fast trains run between Pune and Mumbai, including the Pragati Express, Deccan Queen, and Sahyadri Express. The Pragati and Deccan Queen are the fastest; the journey takes 3½ hours. There are daily connections between Pune and Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Trivandrum, and several other destinations. Ask a travel agent for details.
