One of Mumbai's best restaurants, The Table was launched by a pair of Indian restaurateurs and a young American chef from San Francisco. The lofted upper floor is perfect for romantic dinners, while below a large, eponymous, communal table extends from the bar for a more lively and sociable setting. The small plates tend to be the best, with particularly high marks for the zucchini "spaghetti" in a light buttery sauce with almonds, the tuna tataki, the spicy lamb burgers,
and the meatballs, smothered in sauce and topped with cheese and fried onions. The large plates don't disappoint either.
