The government-run Jhankar is ideal for absolutely basic accommodations close to the sights at a great price. The lobby feels a bit like that of a college dorm, and the stark white lights make the place rather nondescript, but rooms are comfortable and there's a lawn out front for kids to run around on. Two long hallways on either side lead to the rooms, each with pots of flowers outside the doors. Eclectic art decorates the walls; beds have cotton covers in bright oranges and reds.
