Boat & Ferry Travel
Private companies, the KTDC, and the Tourist Desk operate half-day backwater tours from Alleppey for around Rs. 100 to Rs. 400. The Alleppey Tourism Development Cooperative (ATDC) runs daily trips between Alleppey and Quilon (Rs. 300 for 8 hours). After Quilon, boats continue south to Trivandrum and Kovalam. Boats leave both Alleppey and Quilon at 10:30 am.
