The four-headed statue of a Kathakali dancer in the gleaming lobby, the boat-shaped check-in desk and the backwater setting all locate the property soundly in Kerala. But guests checked into this luxurious resort, which opened in 2006, can easily forget where they are as they indulge in the decidedly untraditional couple's massage or relax with a Havana stogie in the cigar bar. Cream-colored bungalows surround a man-made lake. The clean and modern rooms are fitted with fluffy, comfortable beds and quilts.
