U.K. native Davina Taylor has created an intimate boutique resort in an out-of-this-world setting north of Kovalam. After a short drive from the airport, you're brought to a lagoon by boat. Thatched-roof guest quarters are small but attractive, with marble floors and hand painted with ethnic designs; most are steps from the water. If you don't feel like packing, just tell Davina your measurements and the colors you like, and she'll have clothes tailored for you. A personal room attendant is at your disposal throughout your stay. Ayurvedic massage, yoga, and Reiki (hands-on energy healing) are available. Davina prefers that her guests keep themselves occupied with things other than television, but TVs and DVD players are provided on request.
