Most rooms in this retreat south of Kovalam have commanding sea views. Among bougainvillea, coconut palms, banana trees, orchids, and acacia are thatch-roof, circular cottages and traditional wooden houses. The cottage rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. The traditional nalukettu (quadrangular buildings) are beautifully maintained homes, with wooden rafters and dark-wood windows that open out completely. A well-lit path leads down to the crescent-shape beach.
