Among bougainvillea, coconut palms, banana trees, orchids, and acacia are thatch-roof, circular cottages and traditional wooden houses, most with commanding sea views. The cottage rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. The traditional nalukettu (quadrangular buildings) are beautifully maintained homes, with wooden rafters and dark-wood windows that open out completely. A well-lit path leads down to the crescent-shape beach.
