Just outside the Lake Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, this is Thekkady's finest resort. Its well-maintained thatch-roof cottages are built into a hillside. Lush plantings, including a spice garden, add fragrance and privacy. Interiors have knotty pine furnishings and trim, white walls, red-tile floors, and plaid upholstery and bedspreads. The restaurant serves Indian and Continental set meals. Jungle treks and Indian cooking classes are among the activities.
