This hotel's setting, in a natural backwater on the banks of Vembanad Lake, is ideal even if the rooms lack special charm. The outdoor spaces are, perhaps, its greatest asset, with good views, lush gardens, and numerous ponds. Inside, the rooms on the lower level are somewhat short on natural sunlight and all could do with some renovation, though they are functional. Most garden rooms have private open-air bathrooms. Lake-facing cottages are slightly more expensive and preferable. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of good food.
