Opened in 2002, this huge luxury hotel is modeled in accordance with royal Mysore's hybrid architectural heritage and the magnificent sculptural wealth of the Vijayanagar Empire. Close to the airport and 5 km (3 mi) from downtown Bangalore, the Leela is a world unto itself, with a huge shopping gallery, an excellent Indian restaurant, a library bar with cigar lounge, and a nightclub disco. The interior is astounding: horse sculptures glaring down from huge pillars and the richly decorated ceilings are both in the style of the Vijayanagar empire (similar to the artifacts at Hampi and in the Srirangam temple in Trichy). Rooms are luxurious, with large Italian marble bathrooms, and overlook either the garden or the pool. Pros: extremely luxurious, close to airport, excellent service. Cons: extremely expensive, not within walking distance of main part of town.

The Leela Palace Bangalore is the best place for luxury. The staffs are very professional. The rooms are very big and worth the money. The restaurants serve the best food in town.
