Designed by the British in 1876 and the second-oldest club in India, the Bangalore Golf Club (2 Sankey Rd., Golf Course. 80/2228-1876) has an 18-hole course open to the public. Call ahead to reserve your game. You'll be allowed entry only if you carry your handicap card. Charges are Rs. 500 on weekdays and Rs. 800 on weekends. The Karnataka Golf Association (KGA, Golf Ave., Airport Rd. 80/2529-8847. www.kga.in) runs a good golf course near the airport. You will need to carry your handicap card and a letter from your hotel, and the charges are Rs. 1,000 plus caddy fees.
