Fort Tiracol Review

This diminutive 18th-century Portuguese fort situated at land's end barely a stone's throw from Goa's northern border is now a striking heritage hotel. Each of the luxury rooms are furnished with exquisite antique furniture and accented by modern accessories and hand-detailed linens. Arambol, the closest town, is 8 km (5 mi) and a ferry-boat ride away, but if it's peace and quiet you want, you've come to the right place. You can visit the fort and have lunch or dinner on the terrace overlooking the rugged shoreline even if you're not staying at the hotel.
